Akkord (“Advanced KDE Commander”) was my open-source two-panel file manager for Linux / KDE in the Norton Commander tradition - C++ on the Qt / KDE libraries, written during my university years and published on SourceForge. Development ran from August 1999 to November 2000: first public release 0.1 in December 1999, final release 0.3.4 - the KDE 2 port - in November 2000.

The SourceForge project is long gone, so this page preserves what remains: the original screenshots and release tarballs, exactly as they were.

From 0.3 on, the source tree carried the project’s workspace name, “akkordws” - the tarball names are the originals. These archives are 20+ years old and preserved as history: they built against KDE 1/2-era libraries and are not expected to compile on modern systems.
